I had the pleasure of working with Sarah and Adam at an engagement session last year. Sarah was so more on the quiet side and Adam stole the camera during the E session.... BUT that all changed on the wedding day. I was really amazed at all the sassiness Sarah had through out her wedding day. We really took some great photos together and I think the engagement session really helped break the ice. It was so much fun to work with a couple who loves the camera.

I enjoy the funky painted murals in Easton. Makes a fun back drop.

Love the plaid tie! What a great idea, simple yet so different. Great choice Adam.

One of my favorite places to get ready is the Grand Eastonian Hotel in downtown Easton. The light is AMAZING!

Another beautiful and unique backdrop is being underneath an old Japanese Maple Tree. This tree has to be ancient because the grow very slow.

Kristi and Shaun were married at one of the most breathtaking wedding venues that I have had the opportunity to shoot at. The Skytop Lodge in Skytop PA. This was once a private club that is now open to the public. Look at the photos this place speaks for itself. One of my FAVORITE ceremony sites! Of course we had the perfect overcast day so no bright sun :)

Taylor and Devin are Rice Grad Students and they flew in for a nice hometown wedding. Devin was one of the brains behind that 5 million space treadmill for NASA.
The couple rented an Italian Ice Cart to help guests cool off during the hot summer sun. Great idea and they had Mango Flavor....yum.

Bustling the dress is always a task, I have even seen some come with directions. Ask your dress tailor to make the bustle EXTRA STRONG or have a back up plan tucked under your dress if it breaks. Honestly about 70% of them break at some point.
It's amazing how much they look alike.

This was probably my most custom wedding of the year. Lori had three photographers (my Husband and Brooke (love working with the both of them) and ordered the whole shabang right down to the days images played at the reception. All the details of the wedding day were orchestrated by Juliet Event's Alida and Angela.

I know wedding planners may be a cost that some can't fit in but if you have the extra cash, hiring one is always a great idea. Juliet Events has a package to suit everyone's needs from complete planning, to day of packages. Wedding Planners give you peice of mind.....that can be priceless on your wedding day.

I have worked with Juliet Events at several weddings and their expertise is always shines through. The couple had a very intimate wedding reception and ceremony at the Midtown Loft and Terrace which overlooked the Empire State Building. The couple now lives in Kansas City so this was a eye open experience for many of their guests. I loved the view too......

This was my first time working at Addison Park in Aberdeen and I can't wait to go back, I have a few lined up for next year! Sal the Maitre De was amazing and made me feel like a guest. Everything about Addison is top notch. They have a large getting ready suite. Beautiful places indoors and out for photos. The food was phenomenal and so was the service. Of course Sal did a wonderful job of keeping things flowing all day and night.

Isn't the ceremony area breathtaking. Never mind that it was 100 degrees out......you can't tell :) They were going to move it indoors due to the heat but they decided to keep it outside and I am so happy they did. You would never replicate this beautiful scene indoors.

Cute Favors that were customized with the names, dates and colors.
Elegant room. I love those chairs and the natural light was beautiful.

Rita plays on a women's football league.....cool right! She was playing a game and caught Robert's eye. Her best friend and maid of honor said on the day they met "that was the man she was going to marry". That's what you call good intuition.
Rita used a recommended Videographer Steven Wayne Productions. I have worked with him a few separate occasions and he is fabulous. Very unobtrusive but produces great work. Renee and Bill were married at the Riverview Country Club in Easton, Pa. They had a beautiful day in July. I always tell my brides I have more teachers then you would believe. Renee is one of them. She teaches 7th grade Social Studies.

Wedding Sunset Calculator

Light is so important to great photography and with the time changing here is a tool to help calcualte the best times for photos. Once it's dark photographers have to resort to flash and we prefer to use the natural day light since it's looks so much nicer in photos.

Sunset Calcuator I think some of 2011 may be incorrect so be careful. This is the only one I have found but if you have a recommendation feel free to post it in the commments section so I can share it with others.

Many couples ask me what is the best time for photos? Usually its an hour prior to the sunset but usually your day doesn't revolve around me, I revolve around you. I am just happy to take as many photos as I can before it's dark out :) If you have a few minutes during the"golden hour" I would love to shoot you but I also want you to party to your hearts content!

There are also tools to help figure out average temps from weather.com

Another great Easton Teacher Wedding! A few years ago I was introduced into a great circle of friends from an Easton Elementary School. I have photographed almost every teachers wedding from that school and I always enjoy seeing my past and future brides at all of their weddings. They are such a fun group that I know it will always be a great time.
The dress was Private Label by G and was purchased at Ann Margaret in Palmerton

This reminds me of a boy band shot. Looks like they belong on an album cover and how fitting that they are at Penns Peak.
Penns Peak was a challenge to take photos at because everything is paved. There wasn't a patch of grass in site. We still got some beautiful shots though......

Can you tell she was a cheerleader? She looks totally comfortable with being thrown in the air.
This is what I call a large wedding party but they were all cooperative and silly.
Their ceremony overlooked the hills. Penn's Peak has a restaurant that you can eat at and see this beautiful view. The view alone is worth it.
Bridesmaid dresses were purchased from Alfred Angelo
Stacy and Dad had planned to ride their motorcycle to Penns Peak but they rented a school bus instead. We found a nice motorcycle rider to lend us his Harley for a photo.
They had the craziest entrance I have ever seen. Her parents came in with sunglasses and a feather boa, his parents were dressed as Hulk Hogan and everyone in their wedding party received their favorite football jersey to make their grand entrance with. Stacy and Shaun are HUGE Raiders fans. Who else would dance their first dance in Raiders Jerseys and have a Radiers Helmet on their wedding cake (Cake by Granny Schmidt). Talk about being fans!
Yes she was crazy fun! DJ Joe Z pumped the beats from the stage all night.

Rebecca and Ryan were such a down to earth couple. They understand that with great family and friends you don't need much else to have a great time.
Isn't this Japanese Maple Tree amazing. It's one of my favorite spots to shoot at. It's so elegant with it's old swirly branches. It just makes a great back drop. This a couple that loves each other, you can just see it in their eyes.

They framed an invitation in the box which was a great photo opp and a nice piece of artwork.

This was the old house the used to all hang out in by Easton, PA. They went back for a memory photo, hope the owners didn't mind having a wedding party on their porch.

Their Daughter was so cute :)

MELT was a unique experience. The set up was a little challenging but the food, service and ambiance had a very modern twist. Everyone was very kind and did I mention how delicious the food was.......yummy. I would highly recommend stopping in for dinner.

Their DJ was First Class Entertainment Daniel Glatts who works frequently at MELT.

It's Official! I am now a full time wedding photographer

After much consideration I am pursing my passion full time! I have worked in the corporate world for the same company for over 12 years so it was very hard to let it go. They gave me so much flexibility such as working from home and out of remote offices but sadly it's coming to an end.

These past few months have been overwhelming for me and I apologize for my slower then usually response times. It's not my style but there was just so much going on in life that I fell behind, really behind. I am still in the process of playing catch up but the good thing is, it only gets better from here. Now I have time to really expand my career in the wedding world and live my dream.

I am looking forward to more destination weddings so if you know anyone in the US or most parts of the world there are NO TRAVEL FEES. I love to travel and I want more destination weddings in my portfolio so I am willing to make some sacrifices to get there.

Jamie and Dylan had their reception at the Woodstone Country Club in the rolling hills of Danielsville, PA. The grounds were pretty for photos and for the guests.

Jamie had a very type A personality so I tried to keep things moving along with different shots. She knew what she wanted and kept it simple and comfortable.
They look happy to be together and just themselves. Her dress was by Galina
This dress was perfect for her. Elegant with clean lines and beautiful accents.

I enjoy working at churches with this set up. It allows me to get close to the couple without disturbing the guests. You get great reaction shots from these side isles.

One of their guests made them this sign as a gift. It was a huge hit.
Singer Micheal Sherer performed with Sinatra Songs. He really gets into his role.
I was so excited to work with Steve Mittman from Mittman Entertainment. He does the traffic on B104 which is a station I enjoy listening to.

Tiffany and Coley's reception was a the Riverview Country Club in Easton, PA. It was a beautiful time of year and the flowers were perfectly placed for a great photos.

All the bridal things were bought at Bridals by Sandra in Nazareth, PA
Their florist was Garden of Eden in Allentown, PA

Riverview is very pretty for photos when the lighting is great.
Their DJ was Sharbel from Fly Guy Productions. I have worked with Sharbel numerous times and he has always been a great DJ to work with.
The couple and their guests stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Bethlehem, PA
Coley was extremely shy in front of the camera but we got him to loosen up.

Their wedding cake which was probably he BEST chocolate cake I have eaten was from Piece of Cake in Macungie, PA. A wedding cake that looks good and taste good :)

Erin and Wes reception was at Architects Golf Club in Lopatcong NJ. Fabulous food and a cocktail that can't be missed. It's a nice hidden gem out in Warren County.
Natural light shots always look great.

It rained for part of their wedding....... the part that we were supposed to take photos. Erin and Wes went out after it cleared. The ground was still wet but it looks beautiful. Thank you to their DJ's Mike and Rich of M& M Sight and Sound who informed us the storm was just passing through.

Architects always does a fabulous job on the cakes and the flowers looked great! Love this interesting shot. The flowers are by Lodi Florist.

Erin's father was very sick prior to the wedding. This photo captured how thankful Erin was to be able to dance with her father.
I shot Erin's sister's (Tara) wedding last year. Same house, same church and same great family. Had a wonderful time seeing everyone again!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Meghan and Drew's wedding and boy do their friends know how to party! The couple spent some time with us walking around the beautiful grounds of the Old Mill Inn. I really enjoy shooting at these unique places they create beautiful photos. The bamboo, the old buildings just add so much character to a photo. I was also happy about the weather because Meghan's friend was married at the same location last year and it poured all day and night.

Kim and Josh are siblings to another couple whose wedding I shot last year. I enjoy working in families and circles of friends because it's comfortable knowing the same people. They feel comfortable around me and vice versa. I couldn't wait to work with them because they were the clowns on the dance floor and they didn't disappoint at their own wedding. Both were comfortable in front of the camera and they allotted a decent amount of time to work with me mostly because they had two of us for over 9 hours.
The couple picked a beautiful location for their photos.

I love a couple who isn't afraid to get dirty........and yes this is rare.

The reception was at the Riverview Country Club in Easton. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is fabulous. Nancy the Maitre D is wonderful to work with.

This was Kim's something borrowed and something old.
The Riverview dance floor lets in so much light and is great for day light photos.
Living up to the name the couple had a Rock N Roll Entrance. The crowd loved it!

The DJ had trike races which I really don't recommend for any long dresses. It was fun for them but the long dresses don't really allow you to ride a trike. LOL

The guys were touching a electric fence. This why you don't drink.........just kidding, but really I wouldn't try it myself.

I always enjoy working at Perona Farms. It's a great family run business and they take pride in their work. The grounds a beautiful and different since it located at an old dairy farm. The unique area makes for some interesting back drops in wedding photos.

The couple lucked out with a nice overcast day so we were free to roam everywhere. As we were waking back to the reception, Michelle paid me one of the nicest compliments I have heard. She told me she was so nervous about taking pictures because she is shy and uncomfortable in front of the camera. She said I actually made it fun for her and she just enjoyed it so much because she felt like herself. This is actually my goal. I want to bring the happiness and natural moments out of you. The most realistic photos are you just being yourself.

The Bridesmaid dresses were by Ann Taylor. Purple has been a popular color for 2010.

I had the pleasure of working with Brooke McNamara who is a student at the Hallmark Institute of Photography. She was so much fun to work with and is available as a second shooter for the summer.
